My name is Hailey Arbaugh and I am excited to join the All Saints Academy team as the middle school social studies teacher and the 8th grade theology teacher. I am blessed to be able to teach my favorite subjects. I also look forward to teaching theology and growing in our faith together.
I am originally from Ohio where I grew up Catholic. I am incredibly thankful to have been able to go to an all-girls college preparatory high school, St. Ursula Academy. Over the summers, I worked at the Toledo Zoo! There I was able to interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, which continued to drive my passion for teaching.
After high school, I came to Grand Rapids in order to go to school at Aquinas College. At Aquinas, I studied social studies, history, and secondary education (grades 6-12). As an education student, I did my observations and got classroom experiences all over Grand Rapids but I was placed at St. Anthony of Padua for my student teaching semester. I enjoyed my time at St. Anthony and I'm thankful for everything they taught me. You might know some of the St. Anthony families I worked with or will meet the students I had when you reach high school.
I grew up in a big soccer family - all of my sisters and I played soccer and one sister plays soccer at her college! I don’t play soccer as much anymore but I am lucky to be helping my fiance coach a LASSO soccer team this fall. Even though I love soccer, social studies is my true passion. I love all things social studies, including reading, traveling, watching, and listening to anything even somewhat related to social studies. I also found my passion for social studies when I was in middle school and I hope to share that spark and passion with you!
Let the adventure begin!
Blessings,
Hailey Arbaugh
