Summer Saints Club Fun
The All Saints Academy elementary campus is a busy place during the summer! Summer care students regularly play on the playground, run through sprinklers, visit the technology lab, go on field trips, and enjoy a weekly ice cream truck visit. A few students also travel with Mr. Debri or Miss Giroux to the middle school campus on Mondays to work in our community garden. All garden volunteers get to take whatever they pick home, and often students share their harvests with the rest of the Saints Club crew!
Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Zimelis have also been keeping the older Saints Club crew busy with some special morning activities like nature explorations, science investigations, board games, gym time, slime making, shaving cream painting, karaoke, and making rock pets. Weekly themes like Camp Week tie these special morning activities together. Camp Week included flashlight tag, making bird nests, water races, and campfire artwork. During Balloon Week students made stress balls, played more water games, and searched for dinosaur eggs (frozen water balloons). There is also a “Food Fun” project for the theme each week like “Dirt” making for Bug Week, pretzel s’mores for Camp Week and ice cream making during Stars and Stripes Week. Yum!

The Eagles Club room got an upgrade this summer. The Summer Saints crew have been helping to set it up, and testing the space out to get it ready for a new school year. We now have a much larger space (the old elementary technology room) with couches, tables and chairs, a reading area, activity shelves and more. We are working on a few other building wide updates and some minor renovations at both campus. We look forward to showing our “new” spaces off, and welcoming everyone back at our Ice Cream Social on August 24th 6:30-8:30 (both campuses).
