Hello! My name is Alixe LaFramboise and I am excited to be joining the All Saints Academy family as the middle school English language arts teacher! I was born in metro Detroit, but I lived in Utah and New Jersey as a child before moving back to metro Detroit as a teenager where I completed high school. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a Major in Language Arts from Oakland University in 2011 and then moved to Colorado where I began my teaching career. Having lived in 3 of the 5 U.S. regions, I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to see a lot of our beautiful country, and I love sharing my experiences with others - especially my students!
I am married to my husband, Adam, and together we have two children - Vivian and Everett. Both of my children will be joining ASA this year as well. Vivian will be starting Kindergarten and Everett will join the toddler class. My husband was born and raised Catholic, and I completed the RCIA process last year where both my children and myself were baptized in the church, I was confirmed, and my husband and I had our marriage blessed. It was a very significant and special moment in our family’s life. After completing this journey, I feel incredibly blessed that God then led me to ASA where I will be able to intertwine my faith and passion for teaching.
I have been teaching for nearly 10 years. I taught 3rd grade, 5th grade and 7th and 8th ELA in a small town in southern Colorado for a few years before moving to the Denver area and teaching 5th grade for another few years. About three years ago, we moved back to Michigan where I continued to teach middle school ELA. I am an avid reader and writer, and I love having the opportunity to read, discuss and respond to novels with students. I can’t wait to get started!
